My name is Danielle LaChance. I was born and raised in the small town of Dayton, Maine; which is located just outside of Saco and Biddeford. This is where my husband and I are raising our two daughters. Besides for photography, I love to crochet and knit, reading, football (Go Patriots!), going to the beach, and baking with my daughters. Though, my husband will tell you, I’m not very good at it! I’m also a second year student studying to become a social worker.
I was introduced to photography at a young age by my grandfather. He taught me to look at the world through a lens and to see beauty in seemingly ordinary things. I enjoy photographing in a lifestyle manner because I feel it’s important to capture children and families as we truly are.
What’s lifestyle photography you ask?
To me, lifestyle photography is in between traditional sit-and-pose photography and totally candid, documentary photography. This is why I don’t do any shooting in a studio setting. All of my sessions are done either in the comfort of your own home or at an outside location. My lifestyle sessions are very relaxed and easy going. I know how important family is, and I think it’s incredibly important to capture this short time in our lives. My goal as a photographer is to capture your family, as I do my own; not just how you look but WHO you are. Photography is a huge passion of mine and I would love to share it with you.
If you’d like to see some of my work, you can view my portfolio or follow my blog to keep up to date on my most recent sessions.
